Why are we afraid to grow?
We only see ourselves in highlights
We miss the desperation love, so substance-less
For strangers that just felt right
I miss the people who remember me as whole
(Why are we so broken now?)
But these pieces don't resemble what they see in hindsight
You won't find me
(Goes over and over again)
in pretty shades of painted memories
(Still waking from leftover dreams)
We are victims of our past
I know you always wanna ask the question
what will we become
And where do we belong
Why are we afraid to go?
When moving on is what's expected
We can't right the wrongs with which we are obsessed
But we yearn to be protected
I miss the fascination of what would come next
(Why are we so broken down)
But I'm scared for all the people that would go neglected
You won't find me
(Goes over and over again)
In pretty shades of painted memories
(Still waking from leftover dreams)
We are victims of our past
I know you always wanna ask the question
What will we become
And where do we belong
Along the way I said
what if we're never dead
we're all alive in someway
Somewhere drifting into something
And on that day I said
I'll face all my regrets
We all hold on to something
And I can't let go, I won't let go

This is great ambient music, which has kept me going through some not so great stuff. Each album in The Solution seems to be working on something different, and for this one the rhythm seems to be the centre of attention. I can't remember many tracks from the other two albums really having any beats, while in this one most do, and they're great. I really love the ramping up and use of what sounds like a full drum kit in track 3 VikingSchism
