I've never wanted anything
As those days fall from view,
I wanted more than anything to be the life you're leading
You walked away from everything
Hid in the old, from new
I wanted more than anything to know just what you're feeling
But you started staying away
And I couldn't stay in the frame
With what you said, and then
When you started staying away
And I just stayed in pain
But now it's over
I'm strong enough to know when I won't take anymore
Moved on enough to know that you were right all along
And it's long enough ago that I can walk down those roads
And I never will feel alone
The circumstance don't change a thing
Yeah, and if I know you
You wanted more than anything to go, kicking and screaming
We won't know how it would've been
Yeah but one thing's still true
We wanted more than anything to go, without quite leaving
But you started staying away
And I couldn't stay in the frame
With what you said, and then
When you started staying away
And I just stayed in pain
But now it's over
I'm strong enough to know when I won't take anymore
Moved on enough to know that you were right all along
And it's long enough ago that I can walk down those roads
And I never will feel alone
Never will feel alone
But what you said, oh yeah
The words kept playing 'round my head for days
They said "you'll be here alone, be here alone"
Thoughts kept praying on my mental state
They said "what we had is gone, what we had is gone"
Roads we'd take were never quite the same
You'd always be where I'm not, be where I'm not
And to this day
I never got to say
"But what if you were the one, you were the one"
But you started staying away
And I couldn't stay in the frame
With what you said, and then
When you started staying away
And I just stayed in pain
But now it's over
I'm strong enough to know when I won't take anymore
Moved on enough to know that you were right all along
And it's long enough ago that I can walk down those roads
This is great ambient music, which has kept me going through some not so great stuff. Each album in The Solution seems to be working on something different, and for this one the rhythm seems to be the centre of attention. I can't remember many tracks from the other two albums really having any beats, while in this one most do, and they're great. I really love the ramping up and use of what sounds like a full drum kit in track 3 VikingSchism
